Sharp Zaurus SL-C700 Pictures

Following are pictures of the SL-C700 from various sides:

On the left side (left & right as defined in reference to looking at the SL-C700 from the front) is a port to connect to your desktop via the provided USB cable (see below). The connector on the SL-C700 is a proprietary Sharp design.

On the back (moving left to right) you first have the Power (On/Off) button. Next is a rocker switch that can be used to send the OK and Cancel commands. Below the rocker switch is a wheel that can be used to scroll through the applications. Next is the IR port, then the SD card slot. All the way to the right is the AC adapter jack, which is really small and compact, especially since the prongs fold into the body of the adapter (see below).

On the right side of the SL-C700 is the stylus slot, the CF slot and a headphone jack.

You access the battery compartment from the bottom. You flip the button to the right of the battery compartment to allow the battery compartment door to be removed to show the battery - a Sharp EA-BL06 3.7V 950mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This allows for approximately 4 hours of usage, which is somewhat on the low side. If you do a Google search you can find some Japanese-language pages that show how you can adapt another Zaurus battery to fit in the battery compartment. This extends the battery life to some 18 hours...
