When you install any SL5500 software on your SL-C700 the software runs in portrait mode (i.e. sideways) by default and won't rotate, which makes it difficult to use the keyboard. To change this:
Tap and hold the program's icon and you will see the program's details
Uncheck the "Display with magnified screen" box and the software will run landscape when launched. It can also then be rotated to portrait if wanted. The font can be rather small, but still easily legible due to the great clarity of the screen. The following 2 pictures show The Kompany's Explorer program running in both orientations.
Note: On some software, after unchecking the box the above still works but the software runs in a small window. For example, below is a screen shot of a Java chess program after unchecking the box:
